It's being reported by Billboard, Los Angeles Business and the Las Vegas Review Journal that Van Halen will kick off a 40 date tour in Las Vegas in April.
David Lee Roth on vocals, Eddie Van Halen on guitar, Alex Van Halen on drums and 15 year old Wolfgang Van Halen on bass replacing Michael Anthony.
Weird uh?

Wasn't David Lee Roth a paramedic or something in NY?

I wonder if there'll be a new album. If this tour thing goes through, maybe there is hope for Middle East peace(not). Have you guys seen Eddie lately? A lot of folks are blaming his ghastly appearance on drugs, but I'm sure cancer had a play in it, too. Anyway, I think it's great news, if it's really going to happen. My favorite VH song = Unchained

That would definitely be pretty sweet to see them tour with Roth. Of course that means if anything of Sammys gets played it ll sound horrible. Anyone know why Michael Anthony left?

Rumor has it that the Van Halen brothers are not happy with Michael Anthony's "extra-curricular" activities. This includes his recent work with Sammy and with his other band. They also don't like his band playing VH tunes.

I don't know why Michael Anthony is not in the announced line up. What really complicates this is Van Halen will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in March. Presumably that will include Sammy Hagar too. The inducted groups usually play live at the ceremony so with big event coming up why go on tour without Michael Anthony?

Ed, I think David Lee Roth was a DJ in NY for a time.
Bobby Sherman was a paramedic, though.

I don't know. With the recent alcohol and meth problems attributed to Eddie Van Halen, the erractic behavior of David Lee Roth and the exclusion of Michael Anthony I would go see them under Fair Warning.

Roth was a DJ for awhile. He took over Sterns spot in the NY market, but he was fired after a very short time on the air.
