Questions for task-force participants?

Zodiackiller.com Message Board: General Zodiac Discussion: 2002 Zodiackiller.com Task-Force Meeting: Questions for task-force participants?

By Tom Voigt (Tom_Voigt) (12-224-178-109.client.attbi.com - 12.224.178.109) on Saturday, July 06, 2002 - 12:05 pm:

If anyone who couldn't attend has questions about what went on July 4th, this is where to post them.

By Sylvie (Sylvie14) (spider-ntc-tb062.proxy.aol.com - 198.81.16.177) on Saturday, July 06, 2002 - 09:52 am:

Hey, I am getting some vibes thru cyberspace that perhaps some views were shaken up.
For those of you that were there, did any particular suspect seem to gain ground for any of you? Any suspect lose credibility?

By Valentine Smith (Valentinesmith) (spider-wi071.proxy.aol.com - 205.188.197.51) on Sunday, July 07, 2002 - 01:25 am:

I'm with Sylvie. That's really the most pertinent question I could think of. Man, I wish I coulda been there. It looks like it was a good time for all involved.

Tom, I read in one of those interviews that you felt that IF the Zodiac was someone who is in fact still living, that you would expect him to show up. Well...anybody suspicious catch your eye?

By Tom Voigt (Tom_Voigt) (12-224-178-109.client.attbi.com - 12.224.178.109) on Sunday, July 07, 2002 - 01:33 am:

As usual, the most suspicious characters were Ed and Howard. (LOL)

Truthfully, if the Zodiac had visited between noon and 4:30, I probably wouldn't have even noticed him...I was that busy.

Sylvie asked, "For those of you that were there, did any particular suspect seem to gain ground for any of you? Any suspect lose credibility?"

Bruce Davis gained more credibility for me (nobody spent more time with White Rabbitt than Marcus and I; we even took him to lunch before leaving California on Friday) while the SF businessman, in my opinion, can be ruled out entirely. Why would a wealthy, high profile businessman commit a murder on the streets of his own neighborhood? I also found "Kenny Kilgore's" stepfather to be an interesting suspect. Unfortunately, TK wasn't represented by anyone who attended so I still have to wonder about the fact that he can't be placed in California for any of the murders. Nevertheless, I'm still an Allen advocate.

Scott, TK can be placed in California for the LHR and BLS murders. I don't need to tell you that in person; this message board is good enough.

Doug,

I thought TK was in the Midwest in July of 1969 looking for property with his brother?

Also, despite what you may think of me, I'd love to meet you in person.

Scott, I don't know what you think I think of you, but I can assure you that it's nothing bad. I have a very "mild-mannered" personality and get along with just about anyone, so long as they reciprocate.

Kaczynski's last day at Berkeley was June 30, just a few days before BRS. He supposedly took a trip with his brother at some point afterward, but no one knows exactly when. Consider, though, that Zodiac didn't introduce himself until nearly four weeks after the BRS incident. Where was he during that time? Canada, perhaps? Montana?

Sylvie: when I first picked up The Zodiac/Manson Connection, I wondered, what the??? I didn't read any of this in Helter Skelter! Where'd this guy (Howard) get all this information from???

I suppose after Harry Martin's pathetic treatment of the case where he accused everyone and their grandma of being Z (Davis was responsible for Riverside and BRS in that "theory"), I was not too crazy about the idea of Bruce Davis as Z. However, after reading Howard's posts and meeting him in person (and talking to the wee hours...), and then meeting Rabbit on Tuesday and Thursday, I've seriously revised my opinion as to Davis' viability as a Z suspect.

The other thing, for whatever it's worth, was Linda's positive ID of the man in Sandy's pics as Larry Kane, who she said was the man in the suit at the painting "party." No matter what, he will not go away and be forgotten, and I think he deserves more investigation than he's been getting.

Scott: now you understand why I was never able to seriously entertain the notion of the SFBM as a viable Z suspect, despite Rodelli's excitement over the prospect of possibly discovering Z's true identity.

Hi Everyone~
This is my first post on Tom's message board but I have been interested in the Z crimes for several years.Unfortunatley, summer courses kept me from going to the task force meeting - I am enjoying all of the stories, though.I have a question for Sandy if she doesn't mind. One of the news articles said Sandy saw her stalker 2 weeks ago. What was the circumstances of the encounter? Thanks!
Rachel

Thanks for the great pics & news articles,Tom. Maybe I can attend the next one. Sounds like the media kinda blew it. Amazing reading the discussions of the attendees who's other suspects seem to become more interesting. Always leaning toward Allen, these new perspectives are opening my mind a bit. This case just keeps twisting!! Keep the info coming guys, and mahalo! Tony

Doug wrote, "(Kaczynski) supposedly took a trip with his brother at some point afterward, but no one knows exactly when."

After July 4th or after his last day at Berkeley?

"Consider, though, that Zodiac didn't introduce himself until nearly four weeks after the BRS incident."

When did TK return to California?

"Where was he during that time? Canada, perhaps? Montana?"

My guess is Vallejo. Granted, it's just a guess.
