I'm not as fat as I thought I was . . . I think it's time to double my beer
consumption.
Excellent work, Ed, and everyone else who contributed photos.

Ed, I was checking out the photos on your website. Who is Robert Hunter? The only Robert Hunter I know of is the lyric writer and poet for Jerry Garcia.........

Esau, in a nutshell: Robert E. Hunter Jr. is Carl's and Harry Martin's suspect.
Sometime in 1970, RH Jr moved in to 3799 Washington Street, right where it intersects with
Maple and exactly one block east and across the street from where Z murdered Stine. Since
Stine wrote "Washington and Maple" as Z's destination on his trip sheet, and
since we all know that Z signed "rh" at the end of the desktop poem, it's only
logical for people like Carl and Martin to conclude that Hunter was Z, who left his
initials at the end of the poem, and asked Stine to drive him home. I mean, isn't it
obvious to everyone??? Never mind that he didn't even live there on 10-11-1969 and so
Stine could not have driven him home, but let's not allow facts to interfere with probably
the worst theory there is about Z's true identity.
Carl and Martin would argue that a neighbor by the name of Henry Solorzano saw Hunter move
in to that house on 10-4-1969, several months before he actually bought it, but, once
again, don't let the fact that this guy was actually a janitor at a hotel in downtown SF
and therefore couldn't possibly have been RH Jr's neighbor and so therefore couldn't
possibly have known RH nor have seen him move anywhere in PH bother you; Carl and Martin
have both solved the case to their own satisfaction.
However, as far as us Zodiologists and law enforcement are concerned, RH Jr is in no way,
shape or form connected with Z in any manner whatsoever. But, because he has unfortunately
been linked to the case because of two very poor and sloppy researchers, I thought I'd
post a pic of his place so that everyone could see how and why this mega-millionaire could
not possibly be Z.

Was Robert Hunter also the guy who owns the ranch out by Lake Berryessa that doesn't exist?

Yes, Scott, that's the guy. It's name is alleged to be "Running Deer Ranch," but it is a sad fact for those who adhere to the RH/Z theory that RH Jr did not own any property in Napa County until the late 1990's. His son, RH III, first bought property in Napa Co. in the mid 1980's, which is still way too late for 9-27-1969. Oh, well, can't let facts interfere with a pathetic "theory"...

Besides, there was only one structure within sight from Zodiac Island...and it was for peeing in.
