Zodiackiller.com Message Board: General Zodiac Discussion: Strange e-mails

I dont know if anyone else is getting them but I seem to be recieving e-mails sent from a "Mr. E" to Tom (that are less than touching); as well as responses to this e-mail from board members other than Tom. Anybody else.....?

By Tom Voigt (Tom_Voigt) (12-224-139-118.client.attbi.com - 12.224.139.118) on Thursday, September 12, 2002 - 01:37 am:

If someone clicks "reply" to one of my updates and sends a response, everyone on my initial update list will get the response...even though the sender doesn't have the specific addresses.

Hopefully, "Mr E" is safely sedated in his cot.

I bet "Mr. E" thinks his name is pretty cute. So did the Riddler, aka Mr. Edward Nigma...

I too recieved this idiotic e-mail from this big man, so big he skulks behind the grandiose title of MrE.

Maybe a hidden riddle or message possibly to be decoded in that title. Firstly we have Z to contend with, then this new kid on the block, arch-villain E trying to muscle in. lol :-)

Anyone on Yahoo who recieved this e-mail need only look at his Yahoo profile page to see the kind of person we are dealing with. Apparently one of his interests as stated in his profile is spreading evil throughout the world! And as for his chosen quote! Being a gentleman I shan't quote it.

"Mr E" = mystery

Edward Nigma, or E. Nigma = enigma

That's the extent of "Mr E's" cleverness. And the sad part is that he's not even original (kinda like Z). He got it from a Batman comic book and/or Batman Forever.

By Jake (Jake) (cache-dr05.proxy.aol.com - 205.188.209.169) on Monday, September 16, 2002 - 07:41 pm:

"Mr. E" was the name of a fictional detective proposed by Gareth Penn in TIMES 17. I haven't seen these emails, of course, but my guess is that, were they Penn's handiwork, Ed would have recognized his inimitable style in short order.

I certainly do appreciate that, Jake. Penn, despite his shortcomings etc etc, was not rude, crude, crass and vulgar, like "Mr. E."

Ed can spot a Penn-ism from 50 paces.

In retrospect, Mr. E's death threats were pretty weak. I've had much better...

It's the little things that count, Ed. I do what I can.
