This website has a very interesting Zodiac section.

Sorry, but I got as far as "Currant Affair" and wondered if he was referring to his "raisin" d'etre. I have no tolerance for stupid (not ignorant, but stupid) people. And even less for those that haven't a clue about reality. I won't delve any further into his site; he lost me at the get-go, and I see no reason to waste my time.

I agree 100%. It's great for comic relief, though.

Does anyone take this clown seriously??? Comic relief is right!

Right at the beginning he states that "Bruce Davis,Manson family member, was released from Jail in October of 69!.

By Howard Davis (Howard) ( - on Saturday, December 28, 2002 - 12:03 pm:

He WAS released from jail 10/27/69(one year later Z sent his Halloween production FYI)having been there since 10/12/69(6:30 PM to be exact).I have copies of the record.
Davis made a PM call, according to PD records, when Oakland PD got the so called Zodiac call about wanting Baily or Belli,FYI.

Do you have some more details Howard? Please.
Like ,where was he arrested? What was the charge ?Where did he do his time? Is there any "arrest photo" on file?.

By Paul (Paul) ( - on Saturday, December 28, 2002 - 02:29 pm:

i'm not positive, but i think that bill nelson guy is a convicted pedophile.

By Tom Voigt (Tom_Voigt) ( - on Saturday, December 28, 2002 - 03:06 pm:

Howard's info was the best thing about the website.

By Lapumo (Lapumo) ( - on Sunday, December 29, 2002 - 08:46 am:

Oops, sorry Howard, just re read the chapter in your book deaing with this.Don't know why some of this did not register with me before.
The advantage here is that you are dealing with a very strict timeline and there are many avenues of research not dealt with that could tell us much more.
You do state that Davis was in Las vegas on the 12th,the day after Stine was killed and suggest that he may have flown there from S.F.Have you researched the flight times out of S.F? I am assuming he may not have reasonably done so before midnight the night before.
Any records or witnesses from the Vegas end?
You do also state that Davis arrived back at the ranch "about the same time as Manson" Do we know what time that was?
As to the arrest itself,I'm wondering if the place was being staked out beforehand. If Davis was there before the police arrived.
Also in your book you show a picture of Davis in 1969 where he has substantial facial hair. Do you know if he was photograhed at the time of this arrest?

Lapumo, please start another Davis thread if those questions aren't already covered somewhere.

By Ed N. (Ed_N) ( - on Sunday, December 29, 2002 - 01:46 pm:

According to Bill Nelson:

I have consulted for, or produced footage for: A Currant Affair (must have something to do with the California Raisins)... Geraldo, Now It Can Be Told... (emphasis mine)

Now there's a real credible, authoritative kind of guy to work with.

By Howard Davis (Howard) ( - on Monday, December 30, 2002 - 06:23 pm:

Nelson,no matter what others may think, has been on numerous talk shows and various'straight' news channels.Bugliosi used Nelson to consult with him on his revised edition of Helter Skelter.
Regardless what is said about him,he is an authority on the Manson Famly.I don't know of anyone who has done more in depth research on Manson and his group. This includes locating and interviewing old members.
I can't defend others' weaknesses(including my own!),but if they did the research THAT I will state.

By Howard Davis (Howard) ( - on Monday, December 30, 2002 - 06:44 pm:

Nelson was not convicted of child molestation.

By Tom Voigt (Tom_Voigt) ( - on Tuesday, December 31, 2002 - 12:51 am:

My intention with starting this thread wasn't necessarily to bust Bill Nelson, but rather to show how far we've come in four years. (The link I provided in the first post above goes to his archived pages from 1998-1999.)

Presentation is everything, and Howard's done an excellent job of providing evidence of a Zodiac/Manson connection at

howard, he was'nt convicted? maybe he was just doing "research" like pete townsend.
