Zodiac on German TV?

Zodiackiller.com Message Board: Zodiac Media: Zodiac on German TV?

By Tom Voigt (Admin) (12-231-193-32.client.attbi.com - on Friday, July 11, 2003 - 03:28 pm:

Today I've been receiving e-mail from people in Germany, all essentially saying a television station, WDR, aired "a documentary about you and your friends hunting for Zodiac." Unfortunately, the e-mail were all lacking in the necessary translation to fully understand them.

WDR has a website, www.wdr.de, however I haven't found anything.

Anyone have a clue? All I can assume is a preview of John Mikulenka's documentary aired.

Hi Tom,

I saw the documentary in full length. The title was "Jagd auf den Zodiac killer" which can be translated with "Hunt for the Zodiac killer". It was quite interesting and I went to zodiackiller.com after the documentary had finished.

You can find some information on the documentary on WDR's website:

This eye-witness describes the author as male, dressed in a black Henkerkapuze, on which a Keltenkreuz prangt.

Well, this was San Francisco, after all.

Hi Tom,
I also saw the documentary on German Television (WDR). My opinion is that it was more a documentary about people who get thrilled by unsolved murder cases. About the Zodiac killer case were just few informations. So I got here to get some more informations about the whole case.

O.D. Nile is my hero! I love that burrito eatin' maniac!

I was wondering where "O.D. Nile" came from until I saw the pics page... it is close to "Ed Neil" I suppose. In the meantime, I'm in pics 4 (that's me dressed as the Zodiac posing with Howard, in a costume designed by Sandy), 6 (Tom and I at Zodiac Island) and 7 (I'm the guy at the left, partly obscured by Tom, and no, I'm not that short! I'm a little downslope from Tom there). Brad: it's great to know that I've got at least one fan, lol! And Rosita's makes the best burritos... killer Mexican food!

The review is in german, but maybe you'll find somebody who's able to translate it for you.

Hi Tom, try this link here...

Of course, the above linked version lacks of additional
interpretations which some author (Jutta Krug) wrote. Those
of you which are capable to write and speak in more then
just one language will understand the difference ;)

I also saw that!
Was very interesting!
And Tom..you do a great job!

By Stromjunkie ( on Sunday, July 13, 2003 - 09:11 am:

Jenny, how did you mean "he is doing a good job"?
I know he is doing his job better then the most of us, but what is your take on that all, I would really like to know.

By Tom_Voigt (12-231-193-32.client.attbi.com - on Sunday, July 13, 2003 - 05:31 pm:

Stromjunkie: Like it or not, Ed and I are taking over Germany.

By the way, Jennifer (not "Jenny") said I was doing a great job, not a good job. Now leave her alone and go finish building your website.

Tonight I learned the documentary that aired was simply a rough draft and not the finished product. Also, quite a bit of info that appeared on the website is either outdated or -- due to translation -- erroneous.

Stromjunkie: I cannot remember that I talked to you! Tom does a GREAT job! Thats it.

Tom: Thanks! And I will follow up your website!
Doesnt matter what someone says...you do a GREAT job! Thanks for that!
